They say that goats loved to graze on Rock Roses. Hippocrates, Theophrastus and Dioscurides have also praised this valuable resin in Ancient Greece and Egypt. As far as I know, Cistus Creticus is considered to be the plant with the most extensive accumulation of phenolics in its leaves.
